FREE Crochet Pattern - Molly Hayes' Crochet Cat Hat from Runaways TV Show

Image
UPDATE 2/11/23: Added a little note about BLO, which for some reason I always forget all the time, but as a general rule, if you have known me for a while, you know I have a weird BLO preference. I just like the way it looks! IDK! Follow me on Facebook for updates and other stuff! Free stuff! And check out my Etsy to buy stuff! Check out my Ko-Fi for patterns! Molly wears a knit cat hat in episode 1 of Runaways, but let's forget that hat for right now. The superior hat from the first season is the crochet cat hat that she wears in a couple of the later episodes. If you're interested in the knit hat from episode 1 then stick around because I'm going to get to it, I promise! It just might take me a while on account of real life job. NB: Before you get started, I used a J hook and the hat stitches came out a bit looser than intended. I recommend dropping down to an H or I, but be careful not to get so tight that it interferes with the sizing. This pattern is fo...

Free Destiny Faction Colorwork Charts - Future War Cult, New Monarchy and Dead Orbit - For Knit, Crochet and More

Image
UPDATE 2/11/23: This is going on the maybe to-do list to make slightly smaller versions! Smaller is more versatile! I know!   My lame, employed self managed to miss the Destiny 2 faction rally last week because having a job like an adult is exhausting. I've even been too tired to play video games - imagine that! This is the worst. It's cool being able to buy things, but not cool that I'm too tired to do anything with the things I buy. While I wander the galaxy without a faction, I made some colorwork charts for you, Internet. I've used the Future War Cult chart before (it's old and you need to ignore the two-toned background blue - that should totally be solid). I made Dead Orbit and New Monarchy mere moments ago, so the latter two might need some slight adjustments depending on your gauge and needs for your project.  All should work for colorwork crochet, duplicate stitch knitting, cross-stitch and whatever other crafts make use of grids. These are fre...

FREE Wonderwoman Logo Colorwork Chart for Knitting, Crochet, Embroidery or Whatever You Want To Use It For

Image
UPDATE 2/11/23: Can I make this smaller? Maybe?! I know it was used at least for a sweater by someone, which is awesome!   Look at me making relevant grids for once! This Wonderwoman chart is available in three sizes. Right-click and open in a new tab to access the larger images. Feel free to save the images too so you can zoom or resize. These should work for crochet, knitting, other needle-y crafts, and even perler beads if that's your jam. Use these for whatever you want, but please link back to this page and gimme some credit/internet lovin'. Like my Facebook page to stay up to date and be the first to know about new free charts and patterns, and swing by my Etsy store to buy stuff so I can afford to live and keep making free colorwork charts for the internet. If you're not craft-ly inclined, feel free to inquire about custom orders and I'll make stuff for you. XOXOX happy making! And without further ado...fyeah, Wonderwoman! Large 30x65 ...

Free Overwatch Logo Colorwork Chart for Knitting, Crochet, etc.

Image
UPDATE 2/20/23: Smaller version now available! It's squares so be mindful if using it for knitting/duplicate stitch. If you like my free goodies, consider supporting me on Ko-Fi ! I do subscriptions!   Also, guess who hasn't played a single second of Overwatch 2? Me. Maybe I'll get on that, but who knows. Life, y'all. Life.  UPDATE 2/11/23: I will make a smaller version of this! Maybe a few! Make sure you're following on Facebook to get updates! The link is down at the bottom somewhere...   I've been giving my poor little wrists and arms a break from yarnwork this week, and decided to get some charting done that I've had in the queue for a while.  Here's the Overwatch logo. It will work for knitting and crochet as well as embroidery, and it occurred to me that you can totally use most of my grids for perler beads too. Perler beads are apparently trendy now (I have a hard time keeping up with craft trends, you guys). Anywho, I haven't tested this...

Free Mass Effect Andromeda Colorwork Charts for Knitting and Crochet - Andromeda Initiative and APEX Logos

Image
I finished blundering through Andromeda a few days ago, and here are a couple of colorwork charts for your amusement. They're untested, but should be good for knit, crochet, embroidery and similar fibercrafting activities. Feel free to make tweaks as needed and use them for whatever you like, but be sure to link back here, to my Facebook or to my Etsy . Share the free stuff! :) I'll try to get some more Andromeda grids done eventually - maybe some of those awful remnant encryption glyph symbols or something (did anyone actually do those stupid things or did everyone just buy a bunch of decryption keys?). I don't know. I didn't feel like there were as many cool logos to chart, but maybe I wasn't paying attention. Sloane's logo, maybe? I'm open to suggestions. Here's the Andromeda Initiative (in two sizes) and APEX to get started. Right-click and open in a new tab for full-size, then you can save and do whatever. Happy crafting! And if you a...

Awesome Etsy Shop Roundup Time! 3 Awesome Etsy Shops To Buy Things From Right Now!

Image
UPDATE 2/11/23: All of the below shops are now defunct. Adults Are Kids Too may one day rebrand and reopen. I want to start doing monthly posts like these again. And if you have an Etsy or shopify or you're a streamer, I don't care, just contact me on Facebook and I'll do a little feature! It may not help a ton, but it IS definitely good for your page to have other pages linking to it on the internet! Everything little bit helps, for real, and I am glad to help out other crafters and creators.  I usually do this around Christmas time, but these shops all have awesome year-round items (unlike me, although I am leaning more toward plushies and patterns lately, which are totally rad all the time). I've also been painfully bad at blogging the last several months, and this gives me a nice reason to make a post, right? lulz ;-) So here goes...check out these freakin' cool Etsy sellers and buy stuff from them because they're cool people selling cool stuff. Get some...

One of Jimmy Gibbler's Hats - Free Fuller House Colorwork Chart for Knit Hat

Image
UPDATE 2/11/23: This is a very nice basic Christmas hat. I promised to chart this hat many months ago after I watched the second season of this corny show, but it was right in the midst of the holiday hat rush. I just now had time to sit down and do it. Whew! Jimmy wears a lot of hats in Fuller House (and I'm a big sucker for nostalgic shows, if you didn't know - also a sucker for hats that look fun to chart). I'd like to pattern all of his hats eventually, but this one seemed like a good place to start with a pretty simple colorwork grid. This is classy hat that would be great for pretty much anyone. This chart should work for a CO 96 hat on 6s or 7s. You can feel free to experiment with it, change the colors, whatevs, etc. Jimmy's hat is a dark red/mauve/burgundy sort of color on white with a fold up brim. I think it would look cool with a pom-pom and any two contrasting colors, honestly. If you'd like me to pattern the entire hat, just let me know. I...
