Update 2/1/23: I have nothing to add to this post. I just want to acknowledge that I looked at it while I was looking at all of my other old posts. Take a look at my current Etsy inventory! UPDATE 2/1/23: This is another thing I am very proud of. I really want to get back into cosplay. I always had a great time at DragonCon. UPDATE 2/1/23: This is actually a very good post and I'm really proud of this messy, disaster of a project. I honestly had no idea what I was doing. All these years later of course I can think of 9786 things I would do different to improve it.   Going back over these posts really makes me want to get back into cosplaying again. UPDATE 1/27/23: I don't have much new to say about this except that I had no idea what I was doing, but holy shit, I did do it. I mostly did it with trash from my literal trash, and I did a darn good job. This makes me want to get back into cosplay. I just don't have time at the moment because here I am trying to re-establish my internet presence after abandoning my hopes and dreams for three years. UPDATE 1/27/23: I had no idea what I was doing for that sword, but I did a damn good job making it out of 90% literal garbage. From my trash.  Oh man, I forgot about the original Beam Guardian scarf with the rose design in the middle. Geez. I also massively undercharged for all of the Beam Guardian scarves . Zer0's Sword Finally got started on my sword for Dragon*Con and it's going quite dandy. I'm nearly done with the hilt. I made it so that there are two halves. The top half will be secured using velcro so I can access the battery pack for my EL wire. Check out my progress pics. It's made of cardboard coated on polyurethane resin. I'm using Jones Tones Stretchable Paint diluted to various levels. It's working fan-fucking-tastic. No joke. It is performing wonderfully on the spandex parts of the suit and it's also working just fine on the felt and the fosshape . Fosshape is also amazing. I stitched the armor pieces on and then hardened and formed them. My one fosshape pointer? It shrinks when you harden it. I'm sure it says that somewhere. I'm hoping to continue up the left leg this weekend AND start the sword. I...
