UPDATE 2/5/23: I don't have any major commentary to add to this, years later, but I am planning to get my YouTube going properly with WIP and tutorial videos this year! This is a small update so don't get too excited! I'm planning on another update later this week that is much more meatier 'n stuff. I took a break of sorts last week to finish up those Furry Beast hats . I've gotten started on the collar and I completed the first side of the top of the Silence Glaive. The collar isn't interesting yet, but the top of the glaive is pleasing. I shot some time-lapse footage as I worked on the glaive, which was highly experimental. I'm only like a lvl 1 videographer or whatever. I'm pretty pleased with the video with the exception of the idiotic angle I was filming from (and why am I wearing those ridiculous pants?). UPDATE 2/5/23: I made a single square in this blanket out of wool. It ended up shrinking and felting in the wash because of course it did because I am a dingdong. In each of these posts, I find myself scouring the pictures looking for that one wool square lololol It's there somewhere and I'll know it as soon as I see it and I will point it out in these update ramblings! Visit my Etsy shop .  I made an extra square this week to finish up the fifth row. This puts me a square ahead of any other nubs participating in this challenge. I'm planning on doing the normal seven squares this week so I'll be remaining a square ahead. I also decided that I really don't need a queen-sized crapghan. Like, that's too big. I'm sort of a quitter too and this is starting to bore me. Whatevs. I'm putting a hearty dent in my scrap yarn, which was my main goal. Plus I'll have a new blanket for next winter. UPDATE 2/5/23: These hats were remarkably...unpopular. They popped off on tumblr, but I didn't sell a single one even when I jammed the price down to like $10/each. I ended up doing a giveaway for them. Fun Fur is awful to work with, but it is...pretty fun...after? I liked these hats. They are silly and weird and cute, but if I've learned one thing over the years it's that I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT PEOPLE LIKE. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. A while back I made a custom hat for The Evil TeddyBear Podcast based on his mascot/logo. It turned out pretty cool, so I decided to use up my remaining Fun Fur and Festive Fur by making a few more animal hats.  I made a panda and then I made a few more of the furry hats (only the basic hat part) and then put them aside for later and neglected them for some weeks...maybe months! UPDATE 2/5/23: I know how to do SEO and I also know that the whole point of me doing this blog and all of these regular posts was to redirect people from the internet to my shop, and yet...I did not mention my shop or link to it in this post and I am so confused as I am here going through all of my old posts so many years later. WHAT WAS I DOING?! Anyway, shop . Day 82 has brought this blanket well into its fifth row. This time next week I'll be one square away from finishing the fifth row, so I'll probably just make an extra square and get it done. Then I'll probably still make seven squares and I'll be a square ahead. Mood Blanket Race, anyone?! I used what I felt like were a lot of subdued colors this past week. There's no particular reason for it. Again, I don't understand "moods." I may or may not be a robot. Also, yesterday was my birthday, but that doesn't really have anything to do with anything, does it?

UPDATE 2/5/23: If you stumbled on this post and you're wondering - I do still have this entire costume. EXCEPT the Silence Glaive. I made a ton of posts about it as I worked on it and it would be nice of me to gather all of the links together, I guess. I will add it to my to-do list for this blog revamping project I'm doing.  This past week I finished up the boob bow, covered the shaft of the Silence Glaive, tweaked the butt bow and did a great deal of intense, deep thinking about the bodice. When I say this, it sounds like I did a lot, but I unfortunately have surprisingly little to say about any of these parts. I'm especially lacking in clever commentary for this week's progress. In the upcoming days though I'm planning on shooting some time-lapse video of the top of the glaive. This will either be super cool or really boring. UPDATE 2/5/23: My spite. It seeps through my words. Shop . Granny square stuff is really in right now. I don't totally hate all grannies. I just hated these? Or this whole project? I don't know. It's a great use of scrap yarn. I'm running out of clever things to say about this. I'm still doing it. I haven't stopped. I confess that I don't make one square a day though. I actually usually sit down once a week and make all seven. Sometimes more. I am keeping them in the order I'm making them at least. Finished the fourth row this past week. Got started on the fifth. The end.

I confess that I haven't made anything using this chart, so it might need some tweaking and you may need to experiment with your stitches, gauge, etc. But it will work for knitting or crochet! I guess it would work for cross stitch too. This chart is free for you to do whatever you want with, but I always appreciate links back to this page, my Facebook  or Etsy store !
