New Hats!

UPDATE 1/27/23: I will be making the Drama Llama hat pattern available! If you're interested in this, you should probably follow me on Facebook , which is where I do my regular updates! The pattern will be put on my Ko-Fi page, so you should follow me there too! I formatted this post terribly. We don't talk about it and I'm going to leave it because lol  In the midst of working on a number of personal projects for Dragon*Con and the Katniss cosplay commission, I've managed to church out two new knit hats as well as two new crochet ones. The first knit hat is an argyle hat using the same pattern as my Hogwarts argyle hats and the other is a new DRAMA LLAMA design. There are now THREE awesome DRAMA LLAMA designs - the All Drama DRAMA LLAMA (only exclamation points), the Chevron DRAMA LLAMA (with the chevron stripe obviously) and the new Argyle DRAMA LLAMA. The argyle is really basic and actually resembles a traditional fair isle pattern (rather than just referring to al...

UPDATE 1/27/23: Ok, listen. I'm going to make the Drama Llama hat pattern available. I have another llama pattern, but for whatever reason...my original pattern was more popular? Who knows? I don't know. I have no idea what people want. Different llama pattern for FREE . Anyone want that basic argyle pattern? It would be relatively effortless for me to chart it. I'll put it on THE LIST. Neither of the hats in this post are available anymore. Obviously. It's been years. For my current inventory, head to my Etsy shop ! I have patterns there, but I'm not going to lie to you, get my patterns from Ravelry instead (they're cheaper there because Ravelry's fees are not an apeshit load of trash - I have to charge more on Etsy to offset the fucking fees). I also now have a pretty rockin' Ko-Fi page , which I'll be growing in the coming months! DRAMA LLAMA Chevron - Purple Fizz on Black $20 USD + shipping I gotta confess, pals - this is my favorite llama h...

WIP Wednesday - Beam Scarf and Some Hats

Image
UPDATE 1/27/23: I love staghorn cabling. That first Beam Guardian scarf was like 60 hours of work. My charts weren't that great either, but it was still a lot. I was also working on so many things at one time! Which is, like, the same as today. Follow me on Facebook for the latest updates!  Beam Guardian Scarf It now measures about 35" long and I'm halfway done with the Tower in the middle. I changed my mind about a couple things since my last major post about it. After I finished the cabling up the turtle side I went straight into work on the Tower. For the Tower I went with a more abstract swirling flower shape. After I finish that I will be starting down at the bear end of the beam and I'll do Shardik, following by a bunch of cabling and attach the pieces. The back is still going to be a solid piece and I'm going to slip stitch the two sides together and finish with tassels. Whew! New Hats I've been working on two hats. One is an Argyle Slytherin ha...

Chevron + Llamas = NEW HAT

UPDATE 1/23/23: I should find this pattern and share it, shouldn't I? I'll put it on the list. Look for another update soon! And this is yet another horrifying example of bad pricing and how little I valued my time and effort when I first started this endeavor! I am a new woman in 2023! UNHINGED. BANANAS. WITH PRIDE IN MY WORK. In the meantime, here are my pertinent links! Etsy Ravelry Ko-Fi    Meet the brand new, ultra sexy DRAMA LLAMA - Pastels on Royal Blue with CHEVRONOMG. So listen, chevron is like the coolest thing since sliced bread whether you are knitting or crocheting. It is even cooler than Moroccan tile crochet (I have no idea how). If you're not making something chevron right now you're pretty much a huge, lame loserface. Chevron has been around for like 800 years, but apparently it is just now cool. It just makes me think of gas stations and then I start thinking about cars and then I just want to get a Maserati and my day is ruined. Everyone and thei...
