In a valiant attempt to compete with the insane amount of AI/stolen pattern bundles on Etsy, I am rolling out some pattern bundles myself. Of actual patterns. That I made. Myself. Without AI. It isn't 250 patterns or anything like that because I am one human being and I haven't made that many patterns in my life, WHICH SHOULD BE A CLUE THAT SOMETHING IS UP WHEN YOU SEE THESE PATTERN BUNDLES OF INSANE AMOUNTS OF PATTERNS, PEOPLE. OH MY GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU THAT ARE FALLING FOR THESE UNETHICAL LAZY SCAMS. Anyway.  I have two bundles available so far and more on the way. On Etsy. I'm trying really hard to get consistent with FREE PATTERN FRIDAY again. The Elder Scrolls is giving me a lot to work with and I'm really jazzed about it! Hopefully I'm slowly pulling myself out of this massive creative funk that I've been in the last few months.  Anywho! This week I've got the Morag Tong seal for y'all. I'm kind of into Mephala. What a hottie, amirite? Next week I'm going to do the sigils for the NPC guilds in ESO. Except the Undaunted because I can't find a good reference image. I've been playing ESO again. I hadn't played since it first came out many, many years ago. A lot has changed and I am having an excellent time playing totally alone because I don't like people. I also recently finished playing Arena, which was a wild ride, and I'm currently doing my first ever playthrough of Daggerfall on Twitch. I do Daggerfall on Saturdays and Sundays and you can check me out here . I'll also be playing Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, all of which I have played before, though I never actually finished Skyrim. That's a story for another time.   Alrighty! I'm working on updating MULTIPLE patterns this month and this one is ready to go! This is one of my original designs and it is isn't actually that old of a pattern, but I made some tweaks to it based on customer feedback. I finally got around to doing one of the numerous things that I had planned to do at the start of this year! I updated one of my very old patterns! The Dalek Hats! And this is just in time for the new Doctor Who! I went through and improved the pattern, tweaking the sizing, and I added more details to the written pattern and some additional images of the new version of the hats. The last section of the pattern is text-only for those people that like to print their patterns! If you're bored and you go perusing this blog, you'll find some very old posts about Drama Llama hats. These were the first hats I ever designed and it's a super easy pattern! I had no idea what I was doing. But that's good because it's very simple and minimalist and great for someone wanting to get started with colorwork! The pattern is a great pattern for getting a feel for carrying your floats and working with yarn tension! I FINALLY (many years later) got around to digitalizing the pattern! I cleaned it up a bit, and you can get it from my Ko-Fi shop or Ravelry RIGHT NOW! I don't know why I put it off for so long. This just kept getting back burnered for other projects. I think argyle is super classy. Like, top-tier cool dude sophistication. Wow. I'm so serious right now. This is absolutely NOT sarcasm, I swear! It's also really easy. You can do very a 2-color argyle with fair isle or 3-color argyle with minimal effort duplicate stitch. I made some argyle things back in the early days of my knitting and it's a good way to get a feel for carrying your floats and tension with colorwork, so I've whipped up some charts and some argyle tips and you can use these for whatever! A row of argyle on a hat is nice. Sandwich another design between argyle. Do a ton of argyle - stack it! Put it on a sweater. Live your life. It's versatile, especially since I'm giving you some variations to work with for your projects. Heck, crochet it! I've used this small 2-color argyle on a lot of hats in the past. Just one row of it after the brim makes a nice border underneath, say, llamas or something. Small caveat: doing multiple rows of it can lo...

UPDATE 2/12/23: Made some slight edits to make the pattern more readable! If you haven't made mittens or gloves with at thumb gusset before I don't recommend this pattern to you just yet. You're welcome to go for it, but it might get a little confusing. Jerry's mitts in the show are fingerless, but with individual finger holes. I'm not gonna lie, I absolutely hate making individual finger holes. I made these mitts in the good ol' bag lady style, which is less time and also doesn't make me irrationally angry. If you want to make fingers, please, feel free if you have the skillz and patience. I am an ill-tempered knitter. It will work for knitting and crochet as well as embroidery, and it occurred to me that you can totally use most of my grids for perler beads too. UPDATE 2/6/23: This will totally work for c2c and duplicate stitch. The hat I made with it is not the best because the colorway was wild. lol     I made this chart for a sort of slouchy knit hat. I suppose this dog is some sort of terrier. I was shooting for a Scottish Terrier, but it looked way bad. The hat I made was a late birthday present because I am the worst friend in the world.  I wanted to try out some Caron Simply Soft Ombre and the end result on the dogs was pretty ridiculous. imo, but it looked cool for the rows of argyle above and below the dogs. Maybe use a solid color for your dogs. This chart will work for other knitting projects as well as crochet. I put some stitches between each dog on the hat I made, but the chart will work with no stitches between (but it'll look like the dogs are sniffing each others' butts). Do what you want with it!
