Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon FREE Kamelot sigaldry colorwork chart for c2c, tapestry crochet and other crafts

Image
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon = game of the year, bugs and all, and it's only June. I will not write a game review here and instead will just leave you with a FREE pattern (and it isn't even Friday!). This pattern should certainly work for c2c crochet or tapestry crochet. You can use it for duplicate stitch knitting or cross stitch or whatever. Perler beads. Seriously, whatever. Just link back here and credit me a little bit for my tedious clicking.  I realize it is not centered as I like my patterns to be. it should be 41 stitches across if you want it centered on the field. You can figure that out, right? Maybe? It is very easy math, and I hope you can sort that out.  Anywho... This is the Kamelot heraldry, sigaldry, or whatever you want to call it - the Kamelot symbol. You see it on tabards and banners. Kamelot sucks, but I did try to romance that grumpy woman in Cuanacht, and for some reason it's the first thing I decided to pattern. Probably because it was everywhe...

FREE Pattern Friday More Pillars of Eternity Pantheon Symbols for C2C Crochet Colorwork Other Crafts

Image
First thing's first, I've got Berath and Abydon. Berath is arguably my favorite of the gods after Woedica. Arguably. I don't know. It's complicated. I am complex. Many layers. Anyway, I wasn't overjoyed with the version of their symbol that I made last week, so I scrapped it and tried again this week with satisfactory results. I also didn't like how my Abydon turned out, so a better rendition is here too. Also this week, I've got Woedica, Wael and Eothas sized to go with the rest. This Eothas is the symbol from Deadfire, which I think I like more than the one we see around in Pillars 1. Woedica's crown didn't work at 40 stitches across, so it's 40 stitches tall. It's fine. Everything is fine! Feel free to download, save, edit, use for whatever freakin' craft you want, etc. etc. These will work for sure with tapestry crochet and c2c. If you make something cool, please give credit and link back here because sharing is caring. Also consider ...

FREE Pillars of Eternity Crochet Patterns - Woedica and Wael Colorwork Charts or C2C Grids

Image
Eothas and Eir Glanfath Aedyr and Steel Garrote    Alrighty, so this week I've got the symbols of Wael and Woedica for you people, since Pillars of Eternity is my present video game obsession. I don't feel like waxing poetic and doing all of the inane ramblings that are required for SEO, so uh...   Here are the patterns that I suppose you're here for. Do what you want with them. They'll work for tapestry crochet and c2c, or you can use them for other stuff...perler beads? idk, but link back here and provide credit because I tediously click a lot of little squares to make these. Please and thanks.   Check out my Ko-Fi for paid patterns and to drop a little donation my way if you appreciate the wealth of free goodies that I've provided out of the small amount of kindness left in my cold, black heart. These posts get an awful lot of views and I get awful few donations (AKA none the last several months), so uh...uhhh...I can't keep doing free things without a...

FREE Elder Scrolls Dark Brotherhood, Psijic Order, and Thieves Guild Emblems for Crochet or other crafts

Image
Look at me pulling off Free Pattern Friday for multiple Fridays in a row just like in the olden days! The rules are the same as always. You're welcome to download and save these charts, resize them, change them if you need to, but please link back here. They are made with crochet in mind, either c2c or tapestry crochet, but you can absolutely use them for other things. What you do with them is up to you - I'm not here to tell you what to do, but instead to provide you with things to do cool things. If you appreciate me providing you with these things, then consider dropping by my Ko-Fi page ! I have a paid pattern shop there with lots of goodies and it's also where I do updates about what I'm working on and new items in my Etsy , etc. etc. Anywho, this week I've got the Dark Brotherhood, which reminds me of the Hand of Sauron cozy pattern I made many years ago. Because it's also a hand. Like. The similarities are uncanny, amirite? Hands. If you want to check out...

FREE Elder Scrolls Morag Tong Colorwork Chart for Crochet or Other Crafts

Image
I'm trying really hard to get consistent with FREE PATTERN FRIDAY again. The Elder Scrolls is giving me a lot to work with and I'm really jazzed about it! Hopefully I'm slowly pulling myself out of this massive creative funk that I've been in the last few months.  Anywho! This week I've got the Morag Tong seal for y'all. I'm kind of into Mephala. What a hottie, amirite? Next week I'm going to do the sigils for the NPC guilds in ESO. Except the Undaunted because I can't find a good reference image. The Fighters Guild has a lot of different iterations across the games and I might do a post just for different Fighters Guild logos. We'll see! I'm mostly playing ESO, so I'm likely to do a lot of ESO stuff in the coming weeks. I'm streaming Daggerfall on the weekends on my Twitch channel . Daggerfall is so much suffering. Stop by to see my death counter, which should be in the triple digits soon because I did minimal research before making ...

Portal Companion Cube Hat v2.0 (This would also make an awesome pillow!)

Image
In lieu of this month's pattern roundup, I decided to unleash this FREE crochet pattern! I got a little spicy in last month's roundup (and not spicy in a good way), so I'm changing things up this month. Because I can. I do what I want. This is my blog. This is more fun anyway? If you want a PDF copy of this pattern, without ads, and without all of these extra words, you can snag it here . It's a pay-what-you-want as long as what you want is within reason. Patterns take days to make. Even remaking an old pattern. It's a lot. A lot goes into all of this. If you don't want to pay for it, you get ads and me being unhinged on my blog. That's the price. This is actually based on one of my very old patterns. And listen here: I was going to do it in mosaic crochet, but then I changed my mind...for reasons. I do plan on doing a mosaic crochet-specific pattern and tutorials for the two types of mosaic crochet as (hopefully sooner rather than later - maybe for next m...

Free Ouija Board Knitting/Crochet Colorwork Chart For Summoning Yarn Demons

Image
UPDATE 2/12/23: I will tell you all a brief story about this. Ahem. I made this many years ago (2018) and I posted it on Facebook , which is my custom whenever I make a new thing. I may or may not have even shared it to my personal Facebook because sometimes I'm lazy. Somehow though, word that I'd made this, got back to my EvAnGeLiCaL grandmother. Needless to say, madness ensued. Who told her, I never found out. The WoollyRhinoCrafts' page is public, so, I mean, it could have been anyone. But the story does not end there!   My grandmother recently passed away and I have been tasked with going through her hoards. She wasn't a Hoarders-level hoarder, but she saved a lot of paper. She also did not organize anything so I've had to go through every single paper to make sure nothing is important (99.9% of it is literal garbage), but I came across a list. At the top of the list read "Michelle Facebook." And this list contained many, many things I had posted whi...

Free Overwatch Logo Colorwork Chart for Knitting, Crochet, etc.

Image
UPDATE 2/20/23: Smaller version now available! It's squares so be mindful if using it for knitting/duplicate stitch. If you like my free goodies, consider supporting me on Ko-Fi ! I do subscriptions!   Also, guess who hasn't played a single second of Overwatch 2? Me. Maybe I'll get on that, but who knows. Life, y'all. Life.  UPDATE 2/11/23: I will make a smaller version of this! Maybe a few! Make sure you're following on Facebook to get updates! The link is down at the bottom somewhere...   I've been giving my poor little wrists and arms a break from yarnwork this week, and decided to get some charting done that I've had in the queue for a while.  Here's the Overwatch logo. It will work for knitting and crochet as well as embroidery, and it occurred to me that you can totally use most of my grids for perler beads too. Perler beads are apparently trendy now (I have a hard time keeping up with craft trends, you guys). Anywho, I haven't tested this...

Free Dragon Age Heraldry Colorwork Charts - Antivan Crows, Circle of Magi, Dalish and Inquisition

Image
UPDATE 2/18/23: I cleaned up the Circle of Magi emblem. I also have more free Dragon Age charts that you can find below.   Kirkwall, Legion of the Dead, and Seekers of Truth Heraldry grids Templars, Qunari, and Tevinter Heraldry grids   UPDATE 2/8/23: This post had some bizarre formatting after my blog theme change! I don't understand why the weirdness only happened to some posts. Like, what in the world did I do different in the original post?? My mind! It's blown! These charts are otherwise all good, I suppose! Who is jazzed for Dreadwolf? I am. It'll probably have some more stuff in it for me to make charts of too! lol but until then, check my Etsy for my currently available goodies!   Oops, I've been hoarding colorwork charts. I made these forever ago for some  crochet patches  and then totally forgot about them. Dragon Age is pretty much my favorite franchise of anything ever and I have a ton of these heraldry charts because I got really over-excited ab...

FREE Hunger Games Mockingjay Chart - THREE Sizes Available

Image
UPDATE 2/7/23: The small version of this chart, is, indeed, not very small. I'm adding it to the maybe to-do list to jam out a small version that is more versatile for smaller projects! Mockingjay: Part 2  releases today in the USofA so I whipped up mockingjay pin charts! I've been meaning to do these since Mockingjay: Part 1 . Clearly, I failed to get around to them. Better late than never, huh? The charts are in small (40), medium (80) and large (150). I haven't tested any of them, so tweaks might be necessary. I recommend right-clicking on the charts and opening them in a new tab to access the full-sized versions. And you can save them to your computer from there too. Each of these charts is suitable for your preferred fiberart colorwork method (tapestry crochet, stranded knitting, duplicate stitch, whatever, whatever!) and your favorite needlecrafts as well. Utilize these charts for any project you like, but please provide a link back to this post. :) Find me el...

FREE Terrier Dog Colorwork Chart - Suitable For Knitting or Crochet

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: This will totally work for c2c and duplicate stitch. The hat I made with it is not the best because the colorway was wild. lol     I made this chart for a sort of slouchy knit hat. I suppose this dog is some sort of terrier. I was shooting for a Scottish Terrier, but it looked way bad. The hat I made was a late birthday present because I am the worst friend in the world.  I wanted to try out some Caron Simply Soft Ombre and the end result on the dogs was pretty ridiculous. imo, but it looked cool for the rows of argyle above and below the dogs. Maybe use a solid color for your dogs. This chart will work for other knitting projects as well as crochet. I put some stitches between each dog on the hat I made, but the chart will work with no stitches between (but it'll look like the dogs are sniffing each others' butts). Do what you want with it! Check out some other free charts and patterns here ! And as always, give my Facebook page a like...

Free Colorwork Charts for the Basic Crocheted Dice Bag

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: I've also got some similar stuff going on with Tarot card bags. You can get the pattern here , and I feel like i should also note that I usually work BLO when doing tapestry crochet. These patterns will work for other stuff too! You all know that I love colorwork. And recently, I did a round-up of free dice bag patterns  because I needed to make some for myself. The Basic Crocheted Dice Bag from Jedi Meg Knits On is ripe with tapestry crochet potential. The bag I made was in Gryffindor colors and just stripes, but I whipped up a few easy colorwork charts that will also work with the wonderfully simple pattern. All of these are abstract two-color wrap-around patterns. Just begin your chosen chart in the first round, starting at the bottom and working up. Each pattern will be 25 rounds instead of the 24 rounds specified in the original pattern. Begin round 25 of the original pattern as round 26. The chart below is a bit more intricate. This next chart s...

FREE Game of Thrones Colorwork Charts - Part 3

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: These are all so big! I must make smaller versions! This week I've got House Arryn, Clegane, Mormont and Tully for you, Internet. Again, these are big charts. They're probably best for crochet projects. None of these charts are tested, so feel free to make adjustments accordingly if anything looks weird. I figure they're at least a starting point. You might need to alternate rows of sc and sl, depending on your gauge and whether or not you carry the secondary color behind throughout or not. If you're using Chrome you're going to need to right-click and open the image in a new tab to get the full-size. Anyway...make stuff. Next week I'll do Greyjoy and something or another else. We'll see. Baratheon, Lannister and Stark sigils HERE   Targaryen, Martell and Tyrell sigils HERE Here's the deal with Clegane. It's three black dogs on a yellow background. I had a major case of lazy and made one dog. You want to have two of the dog...

FREE Game of Thrones Colorwork Charts - Part 2

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: These are enormous. I want to make smaller versions and jam out some House of the Dragon sigils (e.g. that there sea horse of my boy Corlys Velaryon). Follow me on Facebook for updates so you know when I do this. Targaryen, Martell and Tyrell sigils - as promised. The only way to even imagine getting the Targaryen sigil to look decent involved making it huge. Huge. Click for the full-sized images. Don't just click. You probs want to right-click, Open Link in New Tab...depending on your browser. Baratheon, Lannister and Stark charts here . I'm not super happy with my simplified Martell sigil. I didn't want four colors to be in a row at any point, so I decided to nix the outlines...I might put them back. It's doable, but you'd likely have to break off the black outline as a result. Anyway...happy crafting. Like my Facebook page. I need to get back to Dragon Age: Inquisition. Stitchboard

FREE Game of Thrones Colorwork Charts - Part 1

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: I might make smaller versions of theeeeeeese. I'm putting it on my maybe to-do. I'm not gonna lie to you people, I would love to make a GoT c2c blankettttt. These charts will work for c2c but they're enormous. In the meantime, Etsy . Game of Thrones is coming, so I made some Westerosi-inspired charts based on the House sigils on the show. These are big charts, ideal for tapestry crochet. I personally think they'd be great for making pillows to weep into as everyone you care about on the show dies. You could also make a blanket through your tears and then weep into it uncontrollably as you wait for GRRM to finish writing the series. Click on your desired chart to get a bigger version. And you can also find a chart for Littlefinger's mockingbird pin here , which I made some months ago. It's a small chart that I used for a custom scarf. These charts are untested and might need a tweak here and there if something looks a little funny in fiber. An...

Ka Symbol FREE Colorwork Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/2/23: I believe I have another version of this that's a tad smaller. I knit this one on a hat. I remember the hat because I hated it. If I were to remake said hat today, you bet your ass I would use duplicate stitch for the symbol.   Anywho, I'll update this if I ever find the other version of the chart. I used it for a scarf but I don't know where I saved it and clearly didn't name it something that made sense. Oops.   If you like my free stuff, please check out my Etsy inventory and pay for some stuff. Maybe. If you want! No pressure. Follow me on Facebook for updates about free stuff!     I only ever used this chart once, but here it is for anyone that wants it! Click it for full size. The finished pattern is fairly large (like the whole side of a knit hat if you use worsted weight yarn and size 7 needles). It should be fine for tapestry crochet as well as knitting. Happy Free Pattern Friday!

Mass Effect Colorwork Charts!

Image
UPDATE 1/27/23: I should redo these and make them prettier, shouldn't I? I'll put it on the list. I do literally have a list, which I have started in Notepad!   I ended up putting that N7 patch on my own backpack. I really don't know why my crochet patches didn't do better?! DO PEOPLE NOT LIKE TO PUT PATCHES ON THEIR BAGS THESE DAYS?! Or...back then? When I made them...it was a while ago.   If for some reason you want one, please, let me know! I would gladly produce one (or more) for you. If you want to see what I currently have in stock, then check out my Etsy shop RIGHT NOW!  These charts would be awesome for duplicate stitch knitting, which I don't think I've ever used them for. Huh! What do you know...     ATTN: Mass Effect Yarncrafters Here's the deal with these charts: I've only used them for crochet, but they'll be fine for knitting. The Cerberus chart below is not the chart I used for the Cerberus patch . I also only included the small ...
