FREE Pillars of Eternity Crochet Patterns - Woedica and Wael Colorwork Charts or C2C Grids

Image
Eothas and Eir Glanfath Aedyr and Steel Garrote    Alrighty, so this week I've got the symbols of Wael and Woedica for you people, since Pillars of Eternity is my present video game obsession. I don't feel like waxing poetic and doing all of the inane ramblings that are required for SEO, so uh...   Here are the patterns that I suppose you're here for. Do what you want with them. They'll work for tapestry crochet and c2c, or you can use them for other stuff...perler beads? idk, but link back here and provide credit because I tediously click a lot of little squares to make these. Please and thanks.   Check out my Ko-Fi for paid patterns and to drop a little donation my way if you appreciate the wealth of free goodies that I've provided out of the small amount of kindness left in my cold, black heart. These posts get an awful lot of views and I get awful few donations (AKA none the last several months), so uh...uhhh...I can't keep doing free things without a...

FREE Elder Scrolls Mages Guild c2c or crochet colorwork charts

Image
FREE Pattern Friday is here again! I went with the Mages Guild this week, which means Fighters Guild is next week. I also really like the Mages Guild rank symbols...sigils...whatever...from Oblivion, so they might be on the to-do list. The Elder Scrolls is providing me with a lot of things to chart and this is good. Also, surely, someone out there wants these? Link back here if you make something cool and share it. You're also welcome to download these grids and make changes to them as you see fit. They will work for colorwork crochet, c2c, and should also be fine if you want to use them for some duplicate stitch knitting. Hell, perler beads. Do it. Live your life. Oh, I threw in the College of Winterhold's symbol from Skyrim because it's technically on theme, and also I like it. Here's Morrowind's Mages Guild. Hella anticlimatic, this one. The best reference I could find was, like, a wood carving? An in-game wood carving. You know what I mean. And I need to put mor...

FREE PATTERN FRIDAY! Nite Owl Sigil

Image
Bo'Katan, y'all. Katee Sackhoff carries this show - change my mind. I did the Mythosaur earlier and I realized after that I should have just also done the Nite Owl at the same time, especially after this week's episode. I considered saving this for next week, but I do what I want.  If you're looking for the Mythosaur then head over here .   As with the Mythosaur, I made two. You've got a smaller, versatile 35x35 and a bigger 50x50. Feel free to download and edit them as needed for whatever you're doing. These are good for c2c, sc, duplicate stitch knitting, and cross stitch. I'd use caution with stranded knitting because the grid squares are...square. This will make the circle not circular since knit stitches are not square. Anyway, link back here to this post if you use these charts for anything cool! Please and thank you. This is the way.   For the latest updates, follow me on Facebook ! Check out Ko-Fi for patterns and I now offer monthly subscriptions f...

Free Ouija Board Knitting/Crochet Colorwork Chart For Summoning Yarn Demons

Image
UPDATE 2/12/23: I will tell you all a brief story about this. Ahem. I made this many years ago (2018) and I posted it on Facebook , which is my custom whenever I make a new thing. I may or may not have even shared it to my personal Facebook because sometimes I'm lazy. Somehow though, word that I'd made this, got back to my EvAnGeLiCaL grandmother. Needless to say, madness ensued. Who told her, I never found out. The WoollyRhinoCrafts' page is public, so, I mean, it could have been anyone. But the story does not end there!   My grandmother recently passed away and I have been tasked with going through her hoards. She wasn't a Hoarders-level hoarder, but she saved a lot of paper. She also did not organize anything so I've had to go through every single paper to make sure nothing is important (99.9% of it is literal garbage), but I came across a list. At the top of the list read "Michelle Facebook." And this list contained many, many things I had posted whi...

FREE Game of Thrones Colorwork Chart - House Bolton Sigil with Motto

Image
UPDATE 2/8/23: Michelle, can you make this smaller???? ABSOLUTELY. It'll take me a bit to get to it, as I'm going to be making smaller version of all of the GoT sigils. Smaller is more versatile. These huge ones would be rocking for a big c2c blanket, but I'm a big fan of duplicate stitch onto sweaters and hats, so...keep an eye out on Facebook for updates! The link is below!   I dramatically simplified this in order to get it 100x100, and then I had all of these grand intentions of doing another version without the motto, larger and with more of the detail. The latter was a huge mistake. The latter did not happen and will not happen. I wasted several hours working on it and just...I cannot. The Bolton sigil is by far the most detailed of all of the sigils, especially the ridiculous version from the show. I'm not one to say I won't do something, but there's simply no way I'll do a more accurate Bolton sigil ever. No way. I'm sorry. Don't hold it agai...

Gears of War COG Symbol with Skull - Free Colorwork Chart for Knitting or Crochet

Image
UPDATE 2/8/23: I'm going to make a smaller version of this! It's on the list of stuff to do that I'm making as I go through all of my very old posts! Make sure you're following me on Facebook (below) for updates! And meanwhile, I do have stuff in my Etsy shop ! This grid is free to use for whatever you like. It should be suitable for tapestry crochet, duplicate stitch knitting, or whatever else you want to try to use it for. I recommend right-clicking on the image below and opening it in a new tab in order to access the full-size version (depending on your browser). Visit (and also pls like) my Facebook page for more updates and stuff. I'm unsure how many Gears of War players also engage in activities with yarn other than myself, but whatever! Maybe you need to make something for someone who is a fan of series. Well, here's a chart to help. lolol

Free Pattern Friday! Game of Thrones House Lannister Sigil and Motto Colorwork Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/8/23: If you've poked around my other GoT colorwork charts then you know I'm planning to make smaller more versatile versions of the sigils (and probably do some new ones as well). I've leveled up a few times since I made these. I was really concerned about losing detail, but, like, I can work it. In the meantime, you can visit my Etsy shop to see my currently available items and commission status! My other Lannister colorwork chart can be found here . Like yesterday's Tyrell chart , this was specifically requested. I chose to go with the lion head version of the sigil to mix things up. It also fit better at the requested size (100x100) with the house motto. I hope my requester likes it! This chart will work for tapestry crochet, but should also be suitable for other needly crafts. It's free to use, but please link back here and I'd appreciate if you liked my Facebook page. I also love to see things people make using my charts since I have no time ...

Free Pattern...Thursday?! Game of Thrones Tyrell Sigil and Motto Colorwork Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/8/23: Is it just me or is the motto not centered? Jiminy Christmas! It's on the spruce up to-do list for the coming months, so keep an eye out. Meanwhile, check out my Etsy shop for available items and my commission status! If you're looking for patterns, then check my Ko-Fi ! I was asked if I could whip up the Tyrell and Lannister sigils with their mottos and make the charts 100 x 100. "No problemo," I said. Except I've only gotten the House Tyrell done. The Lannister lion is going to take a bit more effort and a longer attention span for me to rework it, but hopefully I'll have it done sometime next week. Anywho...suitable for crochet, whatever, whatever. Free to use. I recommend right-clicking and opening the chart in a new window to get to the full-size, not just clicking. Depends on your browser though. Please link back to this page and give my facebook page a like if you make something cool with this. :)

Venture Bros - The Monarch Symbol - FREE Colorwork Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/7/23: Duplicate stitch! Yes!   This week I was asked to make a hat with The Monarch symbol it. "Ok," I said. And I did. It was excellent for breaking up the monotony of making bigfoot hat after bigfoot hat, that's for sure. And here's the chart! Feel free to use it for knitting, crochet, needlepoint, or whatever fibercraft floats your boat. If you do use it, please link back to this post to share it with the rest of the Internet! For more, give my Facebook page a like and also swing by my Etsy shop . For the hat, I actually duplicate stitched the pattern onto a plain black knit hat I made. I love any excuse to duplicate stitch and this was a perfect opportunity to do so. Duplicate stitch is my current favorite thing. There are tons of tutorials online. Here 's a good one. Happy crafting and holidays and holiday crafting! XOXOX

More Free Dragon Age Heraldry Colorwork Charts - Kirkwall, Legion of the Dead, Seekers of Truth

Image
UPDATE 2/18/23: Cleaned up the all-seeing-eye for the Seekers!  If you're looking for more Dragon Age heraldry, you can also get the Qunari, Templars, and Tevinter emblems here . UPDATE 2/11/23: Gonna touch up that Seekers of Truth symbol and make some smaller versions of these if I can! Keep an eye on my Facebook page for when I do this. I have a hefty to-do list! Check out last week's post for the Antivan Crows, Circle of Magi, Dalish and Inquisition heraldry colorwork charts! [ Here ] This week, I give to you Kirkwall, the Legion of the Dead and the Seekers of Truth. The Seeker chart is a little discombobulated with colors. Use your brain. The sigil is solid white, the background is two-toned with a split down the middle (or solid - it looks rad in solid black or black and gray with white...embrace your aesthetic)! I've made all of these using sc tapestry crochet, but they should be fine for other yarn and needlework. Right click > Open in new window > Save so...

Free Dragon Age Heraldry Colorwork Charts - Antivan Crows, Circle of Magi, Dalish and Inquisition

Image
UPDATE 2/18/23: I cleaned up the Circle of Magi emblem. I also have more free Dragon Age charts that you can find below.   Kirkwall, Legion of the Dead, and Seekers of Truth Heraldry grids Templars, Qunari, and Tevinter Heraldry grids   UPDATE 2/8/23: This post had some bizarre formatting after my blog theme change! I don't understand why the weirdness only happened to some posts. Like, what in the world did I do different in the original post?? My mind! It's blown! These charts are otherwise all good, I suppose! Who is jazzed for Dreadwolf? I am. It'll probably have some more stuff in it for me to make charts of too! lol but until then, check my Etsy for my currently available goodies!   Oops, I've been hoarding colorwork charts. I made these forever ago for some  crochet patches  and then totally forgot about them. Dragon Age is pretty much my favorite franchise of anything ever and I have a ton of these heraldry charts because I got really over-excited ab...

FREE Terrier Dog Colorwork Chart - Suitable For Knitting or Crochet

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: This will totally work for c2c and duplicate stitch. The hat I made with it is not the best because the colorway was wild. lol     I made this chart for a sort of slouchy knit hat. I suppose this dog is some sort of terrier. I was shooting for a Scottish Terrier, but it looked way bad. The hat I made was a late birthday present because I am the worst friend in the world.  I wanted to try out some Caron Simply Soft Ombre and the end result on the dogs was pretty ridiculous. imo, but it looked cool for the rows of argyle above and below the dogs. Maybe use a solid color for your dogs. This chart will work for other knitting projects as well as crochet. I put some stitches between each dog on the hat I made, but the chart will work with no stitches between (but it'll look like the dogs are sniffing each others' butts). Do what you want with it! Check out some other free charts and patterns here ! And as always, give my Facebook page a like...

FREE Yurikuma Paw Print Motif Crochet and Knitting Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: As with (almost) all of my patterns, you can commission things from me that involve them. To see if my commissions are open, just pop over to my Etsy shop ! If you've seen the bizarrely wonderful anime Yurikuma Arashi  you surely remember the paw print motif that was all over the place. Well, unless you're someone that doesn't notice recurring patterns. It was on the Wall of Severance and also in the background during each Kuma Shock. This chart -should- be continuous on all four sides if my brain was working correctly when I made it. Line it up. Stack it. Repeat it however many times. I haven't tested it at all, so it might end up a total disaster and I may have just lied to you. If you work it in the round for a hat or something you need to be mindful of the jogging at the start of each round for sure because it'll be right down the middle of a paw. Enjoy! And if you make a thing with this chart, feel free to share it on my Facebook ! Also...

Free Colorwork Charts for the Basic Crocheted Dice Bag

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: I've also got some similar stuff going on with Tarot card bags. You can get the pattern here , and I feel like i should also note that I usually work BLO when doing tapestry crochet. These patterns will work for other stuff too! You all know that I love colorwork. And recently, I did a round-up of free dice bag patterns  because I needed to make some for myself. The Basic Crocheted Dice Bag from Jedi Meg Knits On is ripe with tapestry crochet potential. The bag I made was in Gryffindor colors and just stripes, but I whipped up a few easy colorwork charts that will also work with the wonderfully simple pattern. All of these are abstract two-color wrap-around patterns. Just begin your chosen chart in the first round, starting at the bottom and working up. Each pattern will be 25 rounds instead of the 24 rounds specified in the original pattern. Begin round 25 of the original pattern as round 26. The chart below is a bit more intricate. This next chart s...

FREE Game of Thrones Colorwork Charts - Part 4

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: The more I look at these, the more I'm itching to make smaller versions for you people. YOU PEOPLE. Us people.  Only two charts this week - House Dayne and House Greyjoy! I'm personally very fond of House Dayne. I don't know if anyone else is. Are there any others I should make? House Reed maybe? Tarly? The Night's Watch? I'm open to suggestions. I'd also be down for doing some of the alternate Targaryen sigils from the Blackfyre Rebellion and all that jazz. I really do enjoy making charts. Even if no one ever uses them for anything. lulz The full-sized versions of both of these charts are available. Depending on your browser you may need to view the image in a new tab. And they might need some tweaks. I recommend using them for crochet, not knitting, but you can do what you want. I'm not bossy. I've mentioned that I made my brother a Greyjoy blanket (one day I'll take the time to rummage around and find a picture or two o...

FREE Game of Thrones Colorwork Charts - Part 3

Image
UPDATE 2/6/23: These are all so big! I must make smaller versions! This week I've got House Arryn, Clegane, Mormont and Tully for you, Internet. Again, these are big charts. They're probably best for crochet projects. None of these charts are tested, so feel free to make adjustments accordingly if anything looks weird. I figure they're at least a starting point. You might need to alternate rows of sc and sl, depending on your gauge and whether or not you carry the secondary color behind throughout or not. If you're using Chrome you're going to need to right-click and open the image in a new tab to get the full-size. Anyway...make stuff. Next week I'll do Greyjoy and something or another else. We'll see. Baratheon, Lannister and Stark sigils HERE   Targaryen, Martell and Tyrell sigils HERE Here's the deal with Clegane. It's three black dogs on a yellow background. I had a major case of lazy and made one dog. You want to have two of the dog...

Revolutionary Girl Utena Rose Seal FREE Colorwork Chart

Image
I confess that I haven't made anything using this chart, so it might need some tweaking and you may need to experiment with your stitches, gauge, etc. But it will work for knitting or crochet! I guess it would work for cross stitch too. This chart is free for you to do whatever you want with, but I always appreciate links back to this page, my Facebook  or Etsy store ! XOXOX You may also like to... Throwing money in my direction keeps the free stuff coming. :)

Hylian Royal Crest FREE Colorwork Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/16/23: I whipped up a c2c version of the Hylian crest for all y'all people! Since Tears of the Kingdom is coming out eventually. The original chart with the rectangular grid lines is more appropriate for your tapestry crochet and fair isle knitting, and it would be good for duplicate stitch. This new chart is squares so c2c! And cross stitch should also work fine.   Feel free to edit the charts as you see fit and use them for whatever you want, but don't forget to link back here and provide credit if you post online or sell your stuff! And if you'd like to shoot me a tip on Ko-Fi or check out my Ko-Fi in general, that would be cool. There are memberships! I'm very bad at promoting myself! But I need to make money if you want free stuff from me. Such is life...       I've only crocheted with this chart, but it should work for knitting. Make a scarf or something. Whateva! Happy yarncrafting, pals! Use this for whatever you want, but shoot me some cr...

Sun Symbol From Tangled FREE Colorwork Chart

Image
UPDATE 2/5/23: I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to remake this hat and just make a solid purple knit and then duplicate stitch the pattern on it. When I made this I was still pretty new at knitting and didn't know about duplicate stitch, which is one of my favorite things ever now. 100% recommend this pattern for duplicate stitch ORRRRR, my other favorite thing, c2c crochet!   I made this chart (and hat) as a custom request! Now I'm sharing the glorious chart. Fo' free! It was a very fun chart as far as charts go. Enjoy! Please link back here, to my Facebook , or to my Etsy shop  to give me a kindly shout out if you use this. XOXOX Oh. Heads up: This was difficult to make very stretchy with stranded knitting. I ended up just making a slightly larger, smushy sort of hat. And the chart should also be suitable for crochet too.

UPDATE 2/5/23: This pattern still holds up and it will also work for duplicate stitch knitting or c2c crochet! SOMEONE MAKE A COMPANION CUBE C2C BLANKET!! Remember to check out my Etsy shop and take a look at my commission status, and check my Ko-Fi for more patterns!  Companion Cuuuuube! The finished hat is about 10"x10" and the design is on both the front and the back. I worked this hat flat then closed the top and side seam. You can also easily work it in the round by joining your starting chain. Also feel free to only put the design on the front (this will make it stretchier). I hate to cramp your creativity, so you can totally feel free to use this chart for knitting or whatever too. If you make one of these hats, please link back here to share the pattern and also feel free to share pictures on the Facebook !
